Dreams Pick You

It's true. But it's fear, doubt, and lack of ambition that inevitably sabotages it all. We've all encountered something we love doing, something that makes life worthwhile, yet overlook or stray away from pursing it because it doesn't seem feasible.

You'll never know how far your dreams can take you until you tap into it. Believe in your gift, work towards mastering your craft, and live your dream. There are too many positives to let one negative set you back. It doesn't matter how long it takes you to accomplish your goal, just as long as you do it. It could take years to ultimately get where you want to be, but you'll thank yourself later.

Just think of how grand life could be if you set aside all the reasons you shouldn't do something, and finally decide to just go for it. I don't know about you but I'm ready to reap the benefits of my hard work and sacrifice. There's no reason you shouldn't go for it, the dream won't just magically go away because you're afraid of failure.

Dream big, and most importantly don't let yourself down. Go for it even if it seems impossible. You'll meet people along the way that will help you and can possibly become a mentor. If you want to be great it will radiate, and when people see how much you believe in yourself so will they. What are you waiting for? Take an inch towards your mile today!

Your Time's Comin, Just Wait On It

It's funny because I write these blog posts to inspire others, when in reality I'm simultaneously having a conversation with myself. I suppose there's nothing wrong with that, perhaps I'm simply killing two bird with one stone; but who throws rocks at birds anyway? lol

On to the blog. How many of you are or have been like: "when is my turn?", "when do I find the love of my life?", "when will I find something I'm passionate about?", "where and when will my next blessing come from?" I've thought all of these things at one point or another and the answer is you don't. You don't know, and you have to play the waiting game, but trust and believe everything will manifest in God's perfect timing.

Lately nearly all of my fb friends (not all I'm being dramatic) are getting engaged. which don't get me wrong, it's a beautiful thing; but I can't help but think "when will I be up next?" It's normal, it's human, and it's natural. My current mantra, and don't kill me for continuously shoutin' J Cole out, but "there's no such thing as a life that's better than yours".

And it couldn't be any more truthful. No matter how happy, in-love, successful, stress-free, or well put together someone looks doesn't mean that things are all peachy on their end. Everybody. and I mean EVERYBODY is going through something, don't be fooled by the IG facade.

One thing I've had to do was stop comparing my life to others. We are all born with different identities for a reason, and let's face it, if you knew when and where everything was gonna happen that would be quite a boring life to lead.

So my advise to you as well as myself, is to stick it out and just wait on it. Your season is coming and you better believe the wave of blessings you'll receive will be far greater than your wildest dreams. Don't wait around for your life to begin, start creating life now, the rest is just the juicy cherry on top!

Back In It, Been A Minute

Wassup my Ryders! I'm Back! One thing I've learned throughout this year hiatus (yes it's been a little over a year, I can hardly believe it myself) is that I absolutely love and miss what this blog, and what all of you readers mean to me. In saying that, I cannot promise you a blog everyday but rest assure I'm back for good.

I feel like I should write this long drawn out open letter to you guys to update you, but nobody cares, just keep putting out content right? lol. Needless to say I've been doing some serious soul searching and in doing so it led me back here. Any-who I hope you all have been well, and more importantly I hope you all have grown tremendously.

With that being said, I hope you all have been inspired in some way or another during my hiatus. That's the beauty about life, there is always something to take from each journey. I hope that I can continue to bring creative content to you guys, and I intend to be inspired by you all, just as you all are inspired by me.

No matter what life throws at you, nothing can ultimately stop you from achieving your dreams but you. Even if you've taken a break, lost interest, or fell out of love with your dream don't give up because your dream didn't give up on you. Everything is attainable if you just believe.

OKAY that's enough hoopla for one post lol thanks for all of the love and continued support, and I will catch you all in the next post.

If It Ain't Good You Gotta Jugg !

I heard this quote from Scrappy and I must say it's the realest shit I've heard in a min. It's never not nothin' if it ain't good, but that's just my personal opinion lol. I mean seriously, what good is good if it doesn't exist? I'm like TIP I don't want no mediocre NOPE ! Lol

Lol back to the topic at hand, why stay if you can't play? Why settle when you can meddle... Wait let me rethink that one lol, sounds quite stalker-ish and I'z don't promote such things on diz hea site massa ! Lol

Digressing... One should always be searching for good, hell better than good at all times. If not you need to be juggin' to the next because better is always within reach, you just gotta stretch that mental capacity to newer heights.

Do You Prefer Frisbee's or Boomerang's?

Yes Frisbee's or Boomerang's. There's no middle or in-between you've gotta pick one. If you aren't sure, come and take a walk with me.

Frisbee's are the people that come into your life, take a lot but give a little, use and abuse, and never appreciate you. You release them to the world and they never return. You categorize them as Frisbee's or lessons because they weren't destined to be in your life forever, even if you really want them to.

Boomerang's are the people that know your worth but don't feel deserving of your presence. This has nothing to do with you, and everything to do with them. They love and appreciate you but have so much going on within themselves they run away because they can't make sense of it. But what makes them different from Frisbee's, is that a Boomerang will return. A Boomerang will come back with more passion, knowledge and unconditional love for you because they see the gold in your soul.

In saying that, be cautious because Frisbee's and Boomerang's can appear to be either or; It's up to you to decipher the two. Just as beautiful people can be ugly inside, and ugly people can be beautiful inside... it's all the same. Listen, observe, and think logically. Your life is yours, you get to decide who you want in it and who should go away. But take it from me, negative people will only stifle you even if you find the positive in them. Keep positive people around you and you will receive the best gift ever known to man-kind... PEACE !

Why dwell when you can revel ?

How long are you going to live in the past, hold grudges, and think "what if"? Dwelling on the past will only stifle you in the long run. You will never live up to your full potential if you allow your past to define your future. Stop letting failed relationships, jobs, and experiences consume you; Let it go and move on, everything happen for a reason, and what's meant to be will be, no matter the circumstance... what's rightfully yours will always prevail.

Just take a moment and think how peaceful life could be if you just let things go. Isn't that an amazing space to be in? You can have that serenity, it's yours for the taking ! Stop holding on to dead weight and hopeless "could have been's". Free yourself and you will open up possibilities you've never imagined before.

Whatever is holding you back or deterring you, reverse that energy. Let those obstacles fuel your drive to get to your goal. Give those nonbelievers something to talk about; First they will ask why you are doing it, but later they'll ask how you did it.

Revel in your uniqueness, embrace your flaws, and love yourself; There is no better love than self-love, you have to know your worth so that others will acknowledge it. This goes for jobs, relationships and life in general, no one will appreciate what you have to offer unless you believe in it first.

Today I challenge you to release those demons that stifle you from living in the present, and revel in the moment... be the best you, you can be and everything else will fall into place. Don't focus on the things you don't have and redirect your focus on the bigger picture. Make today be the fresh start you've been running from. After all, the new year is fast approaching and what better way to welcome it by eliminating all things that keep you from growing.

Feel the fear and do it anyway !

Ever felt like good enough isn't good enough? I struggle with this daily. Am I a good enough writer to engage readers? Will people eventually catch on? How will I ever get far being positive in a world where people gravitate towards negativity?

I am in constant battle trying to shake fear of rejection, failing, and unveiling my truth. I often wish that this journey through life came with a blueprint or at least a spell checker to correct me along the way. Why can't there be somebody who sees my future and can guide me by telling me if I'm hot or cold? Lol If only...

I have been thinking about my future lately and I just wish I could take a 5 minute peek just for inspiration. But the surprises wouldn't mean as much and neither would the journey.

I say all of this to say, you are not alone in your fears and goals. If your dreams don't scare you they aren't big enough. Life is about taking risks, stepping out on faith and standing for what you believe in. Keep pushing towards your dream no matter how hard it may be; never give up because you never know how close you may be to attaining what you set out to obtain.
